Serve the World

Since the creation of our world, God has always been on mission to bring fallen humanity into relationship with Himself. God's plan is to reach all the nations of the world with a faith in Him. We now have the opportunity to join God on mission. We desire every member to be involved in Missions & Outreach in some capacity, whether that be by praying for the lost, going on short-term trips, or giving financially to help support God's work. We all have a role to play in making followers of Jesus Christ.

Missions & Outreach ministries seek to fulfill God's mission to reach the world through local, national, and global efforts.  Throughout the year there are a number of opportunities to get involved in to impact the world for eternity.

If you are interested in serving in one of the outreach

opportunities below, please contact the church office.

Local Outreach

The Living Nativity

For the past 30 years our church has told the most famous story of all time - the birth of Jesus Christ! Over 2,500 people come each year to see the live reenactment of how the Son of God humbled himself as a simple baby, in order to save the world. None of this is possible without the countless hours put in by volunteers to construct the set, act in the production, run tech, and welcome our visitors.

Women's Pregnancy Care Clinic

The Women's Pregnancy Care Clinic assists and serves young women with resources and counseling concerning unplanned pregnancies. The clinic provides support groups, pro-life events, Bible studies, ultrasounds and more. Each year they help women carry through with their pregnancy and walk with them in the months that follow delivery. You can get involved with volunteering at the clinic, attending the 'Walk4Life' in March and frequent prayer events. Find more details at

Evergreen Elementary Homework Club

Just down the street from our Greenleaf Campus is a school with great needs. On Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30pm a team from our church has the opportunity to put on an after-school homework club that helps students complete necessary school work. Many of these students do not get the support they need at home, so our volunteers step in. This club has opened the door for building relationships and meeting the needs of families.

Good News Club at Las Positas Elementary

Not far down Imperial Highway is a school where we get to teach Bible stories to kids in an after-school program. Throughout the years we have seen dozens of kids trust Jesus as their Savior and get connected to our church ministries. There is always a need for more teachers to join this great harvest.

Food 4 La Habra

Bring food the last Sunday of each month to donate to the La Habra Community Resource Care Center which assists families in La Habra with groceries & basic needs.

Thanksgiving Meal Distribution

We have the opportunity each November to provide complete meals to families in need. If you know someone who could use the support please inform the church office. Sign up to become “a deliverer” of a meal along with the Gospel and an invitation to our church.

Youth Service Days - May-June

Our youth work on Saturdays in May and June to raise money for summer trips and, more importantly, to learn how to serve. They will serve our church family with yard clean up, house repairs, house cleaning, gardening and organizing. Contact a youth director to get involved.

Cold Weather Homeless Shelter

There is a large homeless community in our surrounding areas that needs tangible care. For this reason we partner with multiple churches in Whittier to host a homeless group at our Greenleaf Campus. During the week we provide hot meals and a roof over their heads for the night. This week takes a number of volunteers to provide food, make donations, and help with security.

Global Outreach

Adopting Unreached People Groups

Since early in 2013 God has been leading us to "adopt" a people group who has little to no access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He has led us to partner with IMB Missionaries in order to share the gospel and start a church multiplying movement.

the "R" people of Southeast Asia

This region is predominantly Buddhist and has very few local Christians. Our goal is to send teams twice a year, each Spring and Fall, to share the Good News and join the work God is already doing there.

the "K" people of Central Asia

This area of the world is largely Muslim with opposition to Christianity. We plan to send teams each year in order to further spread Gospel materials and connect with current efforts.

If you are interested in going on the next trip or any of our global trips, please read our Missions Profile and complete a Short Term Missions Application

Operation Christmas Child gift boxes

Fill a box (or two!) with toys & supplies. Give $7 to help with shipping expenses. Pray for the box and the child who receives it. Boxes will be made available in October and must be turned in toward the end of November. Sign-up to work in the OCC distribution warehouse. For more information visit

Disaster Relief

We encourage our congregation to serve our state, our nation, and the world by joining the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team. This ministry helps clean up areas that have been effected by hardship and care for their needs. For more information, visit
